November 8, 2024: Find Your Passion!
"I would rather die of passion than of boredom."
⁃ Vincent Van Gogh
So many of us go through life without ever finding anything that stirs us up, that makes our blood boil, that gets us really enthused about getting it done. If there is nothing in your life that you are passionate about, you are missing out on an action-inducer that has taken man into space, a burning desire that has driven man to the depths of the oceans to discover their wonders. Passion is why we can fly through the air in jumbo jets, it's why we have automobiles, why we have surgical procedures that save lives. None of these things would have been remotely possible without someone having an intense desire to build something or make something or do something that would change lives. Think about how different your life would be if there was a driving force inside you that got you out of bed every morning eager to pursue your passion; that kept you up late at night working on your passion. Time and neglect have a way of hiding from us those things that we used to get excited about; those things that we wanted to change or fix or do something about. It could be a hobby that we wanted to pursue, or learning to knit or rescuing death-bound dogs, or cats. It could be teaching children how to grow things and appreciate nature's wonders. Inside each one of us there's something that may have faded from the surface; something that would bring us such joy to pursue. If you want to reinvigorate your life, try to rediscover what you were once passionate about and pursue it, you will not believe the joy to be experienced when you reclaim and pursue the thing that you are passionate about. It's there, you just have to find it again or discover it!
