June 9, 2024: Doing Good

"The good you do today will often be forgotten. Do good anyway."
⁃ Mother Teresa

For some of us, doing good is just part of who we are. We learned from parents or grandparents that it is better to do good than to do otherwise. For some others, doing good is optional, based on the situation. For still others, doing good rarely comes to mind. It has been my experience that those who are predisposed to doing good at every chance, seem to be more content with their lives; more at ease with their fellow humans. I have a feeling that the further we stray from a predilection to do good, the more stress we experience personally and the more discord we have in our daily interactions with others. There actually seems to be a direct correlation between our interest in doing good things for others and the ease with which we navigate life's interpersonal relationships. Life just seems to be more enjoyable and interesting when our mindset is to do good, just because it's good to do good. Anyway, that's my take, for what it's worth.
