June 15, 2024: Procrastination

"Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can"

— Arthur Ashe

One key to getting your life moving forward is to recognize that the place to start, is where you are, not "when I get to a certain point I will be ready to start." Starting anywhere other than where you are right now, is called procrastination. Said another way, 'you're fixin to get ready to get started to get going.' They say that gonna doers are never doers. It's okay to be a never doer, if that's who you want to be. If not, recognize that where you are is unimportant. Where you want to go is all-important. Take whatever the first step would be, and before you know it, you will gain some momentum and then you will be unstoppable. There truly is nothing you can't do if your desire is strong enough and you persist until you get there. Release that tiger within you and you will be surprised at how much courage you truly have.
