July 9, 2024: Desire vs Obstacles
"If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it." – Michael Jordan.
The true measure of how strong your desire is to achieve something, can easily be measured by how much opposition you are willing to overcome to reach your goal. Too many of us, at the first sign of difficulty, turn and run as if that couldn't possibly be the right goal for us; there was too much initial resistance to our efforts. Strong opposition to whatever efforts we make to better ourselves, should be expected; going uphill has always been much harder than taking the easy road down. If you truly want to know how strong your desire is to achieve something, take a good look at how easy it is to stop you and turn you away from where you're trying to go. 'Someday goals' become 'never done goals' as the battering ram of life, punishes us with obstacle after obstacle to personal achievement; denying us the satisfaction that comes from lying spent on life's battlefield, victorious! You can be a quitter, if you want to be! You can be a winner, if you want to be! Don't allow life's standard resistance crap to sidetrack you from where you were destined to be. Resistance is usually the sign that you are heading in the right direction. There is truly nothing that can stop you, if you refuse to be stopped. Go hard for the life you want! Fear of failing is all that stands between you and that life you want and deserve.
