November 1, 2024: Your Philosophy of Life

"To find yourself, think for yourself." - Socrates

We all have our philosophies of life, even if we don't know what philosophy is. We have our systems of belief in what to expect from life. Our philosophy can be optimistic or pessimistic, have expectations of good things or of difficult things. In our thoughts about our possibilities for advancement or happiness, achievement, or lack of achievement, it is our philosophy, internally formed by the circumstances of our lives, by the input of our elders, our parents, our grandparents our sisters and brothers, uncles, aunts, also our teachers, that pretty much dictates how well we will do in life. We all have philosophies, even if we don't identify them as such. They are a part of who we are. They affect everything we do, and because of that, we must discover, if we are not already aware of them, what they are and how they have shaped and choreographed our lives. Then and only then do we have an opportunity to direct our lives from that point forward. We should all strive to understand that our internal workings, our philosophies and our hopes are all based on some personal philosophy that we have acquired from whatever sources. What is your philosophy of life? Once you ask yourself that question and begin to explore it, you will probably begin to see how patterns of acquired thinking and acting have dictated your successes, and perhaps shortcomings up to this point in your journey through time. If you can summon the courage to go down that road of self discovery and begin to examine the sources of your timidity and lack of boldness in pursuit of your dreams, you may discover that those limitations
were acquired from others and are not really part of who you are. Limiting thoughts, whether acquired or self imposed, can be cast aside if you make up your mind to accept the true fact that you can do or be anything you can teach your mind to believe in. I am hoping you will accept this challenge for self examination and redirection of your internal philosophy your potential for much greater happiness and achievement. I pray it leads you to a more positive expectancy for your future. Self-understanding is both liberating and actuating for future endeavors and future expectations. Why not begin your journey today? What is your philosophy of life?
