May 28, 2024: The Threat of Criticism

"Don't be distracted by criticism. Remember – the only taste of success some people get is to take a bite out of you."
⁃ Zig Zigler

Are you cabined, cribbed, and confined by the threat of criticism from others? If so, there is a question you need to ask yourself. "Which is more important, my life, and what I want to do with it, or someone else's opinion of what I should do with my life?" After you have walked around that question a couple times, I hope you will conclude that the brain God gave you, probably understands you better than anyone else's brain. Remember, the outcomes of your decisions fall on you, not anyone else. Seeking wise counsel, before making important decisions, is probably a good idea. Being overly concerned about avoiding criticism is not a good idea! It's your life to build, or not. Take responsibility for yourself! The life you have is yours to build, or bust! Build it! Finally, I'll share One of my favorite sayings, which I adopted as a young man, that has served me well. "Your opinion of me, is none of my business." "YOUR OPINION OF ME, IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS." Now you know.
