July 26, 2024: Life - Goals

“If a goal is worth having, it's worth blocking out the time in your day-to-day life necessary to achieve it.” — Jill Koenig

If we have set too many goals, we can sometimes become confused about which ones to pursue first, and which to put off until later. Since our time is limited and we cannot chase two rabbits without losing them both, we must establish the priorities of our goals. Remember, all goals do not have the same weight. Some goals are important. They need to be done at some point in time, but not necessarily now. Other goals are what I term very important or even imperative. These are the goals that carry an urgency, perhaps a time limit that must be met in order not to be forfeited. It is the imperative goals that must be attended to first. It is the imperative goals, that must be given the time necessary to get them done. Imperative goals; the ones which will have the greatest impact on our lives, deserve and must be given the time it takes to get them done. All goals are not equal. Do the imperative before the important. You will be glad you did. Now you know.
