September 4, 2026 I'm So Tired All the Time: How to Feel Better When You're Running on Empty

Let's Talk About Being Tired
You know what? You're really tired. Not just a little sleepy. You're the kind of tired that makes your whole body feel heavy.
You wake up tired. You go to sleep tired. And all day long, you're doing SO many things. You make breakfast. You get kids ready. You go to work. You help with homework. You make dinner. You give baths. Then you fall into bed and start all over the next day.
Here's something important: It's okay to be tired. It's not your fault.
When you do everything by yourself, your body never gets a real rest. You're always going, going, going. Even when the kids are asleep, your brain is still thinking. Did I pay that bill? Does my child have clean clothes? When do we go to the dentist?
Your body is like a toy that needs new batteries. If you never put in new batteries, the toy stops working. You need to rest so you can keep going.
Here are some Little Things That Can Help You Feel Better.
You might think, "I don't have time to rest!" But here's good news: You don't need a whole day off. You just need some small, easy things that help you feel better.
Try to sleep a little more. I know it's hard! But try going to bed just 15 minutes earlier. Put your phone away. Turn off the TV. Let your body rest.
Eat real food. When you don't eat, or you only eat your kids' leftovers, your body has no power. Your body is like a car that needs gas to go. Keep easy snacks around: nuts, apples, cheese. Eating something is always better than eating nothing.
Move your body a little bit. Take a short walk outside. Dance while you cook. Stretch during a TV show. When you move, your body makes more energy!
Being tired all the time is not something to be proud of. It means you need help and better ways to take care of yourself. You're not weak. You're a person who needs rest—just like everyone else!
Your kids need you to be healthy and happy. They need that more than they need you to be perfect. Taking care of yourself isn't mean or selfish. It's important.
Try This Tonight
Tonight, before you go to bed, set your alarm to wake up 15 minutes earlier. Then go to bed 15 minutes earlier too.
Use those morning minutes to do something that makes you feel good:
Drink your coffee in quiet
Stretch your body
Just sit and breathe
Keep these 15 minutes safe. Don't let anything take them away. These minutes are special—because YOU are special.
You're doing a great job. You deserve to feel good. We're here to help you. ❤️
