My Poem for Christmas 2024

T’is the season

Christ is the reason

He came to save us all

Alas, he will only claim the ones

Who clearly hear the call

His peace, His Joy, salvation

He brings to all who heed

His message of forgiveness

But he can only plead

He will not force his way on you

He stands at your heart's door

But you must welcome Him on in

Accept Him I implore

Don't keep Him standing at the gate

Relent and let him in

On us He will lovingly wait

He came to save all men

The Savior came to show the way

He bids us follow him

His coming hails a brighter day

Don't dismiss him on a whim

This special season let us share

With all our fellow men

His love, His Joy, His holy peace

He's forgiven us of sin
