"Where there is no vision, the people perish." — Proverbs 29:18

Here is a question worth sitting with today.

Where are you going?

Not in five minutes. Not tomorrow. But with your life. With your family. With the one shot you have been given to build something real and meaningful and lasting — where exactly are you headed?

If that question makes you uncomfortable it is because most people have never been taught to answer it. We are great at reacting to life. We are not always great at directing it. And so we drift. We respond. We manage. We survive. And we call it living.

But drifting is not living. Drifting is just movement without direction. And no matter how hard you work, how fast you move, or how busy you stay — if you do not know where you are going, you cannot know if you are getting closer.

A life without vision is like building a house without a blueprint. You can gather all the materials in the world but without a plan they are just a pile of wood and bricks. Vision is what turns raw materials into something beautiful and intentional.

Your vision doesn’t have to be grand or complicated. It does not have to impress anyone. It just has to be yours. It needs to be clear enough that when you wake up in the morning you know what you are building toward. Clear enough that when distractions come — and they will — you can measure them against your direction and say yes or no from a place of purpose.

A person with vision moves differently. They make decisions differently. They spend their time differently. Because every choice is filtered through one powerful question — does this get me closer to where I am going or further away?

That kind of clarity is not a luxury. It is the foundation of everything.

Without vision your years blur together. With vision every year builds on the last. You start to see progress. You start to feel momentum. You start to believe that the life you imagined is not just a dream but an actual destination you are moving toward.

You were not made to wander. You were made to arrive somewhere worth going.

So pick your destination. Write it down. And start walking toward it today.

Your Action Step:

Set aside just 30 minutes this week and write a clear answer to this question — What do I want my life to look like in 3 years? Write it in the present tense as if it is already happening. Be specific. Be bold. Be honest. That written vision is now your blueprint. Read it every morning and let it guide every decision you make.
