April 23, 2024: Being Optimistic

“Optimism is a happiness magnet. If you stay positive good things and good people will be drawn to you.” - Mary Lou Retton

————————————————————

Optimism doesn't grow on trees, but if you continually plant seeds of optimism in your psyche, such as our recent 30 day exercise of writing down three things daily that we are thankful for, you can start your own garden and grow some. An optimist knows that, that light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train, but a ray of sunshine and goodness heading their way. Optimism: the belief that everything is going to be okay; that rainy weather can't last forever. We like to be around optimistic people. Likewise, we avoid negative, pessimistic people. Therefore, if you are not currently an optimistic person, you have two choices; remain where you are, or choose a better path. Please choose a better way so you can use whatever gifts God gave you, plus those you develop on your own, to make THE world and YOUR world a better place.
